YOUNGKER
Darla J. Thompson Youngker, 66, of Oklahoma City, passed away on December 19, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Darla was cherished and loved by so many people. She was born to Bob and Artie Waller of Davenport, Oklahoma on November 28, 1935. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1954 and attended Oklahoma Baptist University and Central State College in Edmond. In 1956 she married John Thompson and of this union, two precious children, Brad and Kris, were born. Darla was a gifted and talented musician. She worked for Oklahoma Farmers Union for many years. In 1987 she married Garry Youngker, and was blessed with the cherished gift of another daughter, Jessica Starr. Darla's father, Bob Waller and son, Brad Thompson preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Artie Waller; daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Allen Wade of Oklahoma City and daughter, Jessica Starr Youngker of Edmond. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2001, at Northwest Christian Church with interment to follow at Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, OK. SMITH & KERNKE 1401 NW 23rd ST. |
