  Notes	There are credible records of an 1840 marriage between Curtis Embry and Rebecca Larue. The 1850 Census shows Curtis and Rebecca in a household with 6 children, ages 15, 13, 5, 3, 2, and 3 mos. Those first two children were born several years before the marriage. It is reasonable to conclude that Curtis had a first wife, had two children, then lost that wife and married Rebecca in 1840 as his second wife. She would then have become stepmother to a 5 year old and a 3 year old.
