Sutton b. 27 July 1839 d. 12 Dec. 1878, so at the age of 39, he left Mary a widow with seven children, whom she raised and seven of her grandchildren who were left motherless or fatherless and one granddaughter remembers that she never complained about the hard times she had experienced.
