| 1884 | Unbeknownst to Marguerite, Mr. Townsend had not divorced his first wife. This marriage would ultimately be annulled. Marriage announcement named the husband as Townsend Jones. Newspaper article from April 1929 names Marguerite as Mrs. Thomas E. Jones. The later bigamy court case named him Thomas C. Jones. Grandmother Gentry had 4 children living with her at the time. Bobby Williamson owned a farm, which he had purchased from Bat Roach. This farm passed to his sister upon his death.
