Diane is the webmaster and system administrator here. However, she doesn't really exist, it's just an alias. I am actually exactly who you think I am.
During web development it's necessary to create multiple user logons to test out different features, so I've got users set up for full access (the webmaster, Diane) family member access (my real identity), and plain old registered user access (my dog).
I decided I kinda liked the idea of a pseudonym, I may use it for other things as well out there in the web ether - anonymity has its uses.
Things like webmaster and system administrator can tend to become spam or hacker targets, so it's generally a good idea to have an extra layer of "fakeness" between those standard identities and one's true identity. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it's easier to start out private or hidden and then relax it than it is to go the other way.
Some sites go so far in protecting themselves that they don't actually have a webmaster account, or any way for the general public to get in touch. I don't like that, so Diane is the contact for the random world.
At any rate, Diane is the boss here, and she's also nobody. If I contact you, I may do so as Diane, or as my real self. I'll try to keep it straight, but it kind of depends how I'm signed on and if I'm paying attention, please bear with me.
